Child's Play

14 June 2010

There is a certain simplicity and innocence to the styling of Shabby Chic interiors that would be akin to child's play.

However, if you have ever put a Shabby Chic or any other "chic" space together- you know it takes both a studied hand mixed with the playfulness of a child.

A friend once shared a conversation she had with her 4 year old nephew. She thought he would be delighted to hear about the new art class she was taking. The nephew was surprised and asked- "why are you doing that? did you forget how to draw?".

The following video from our friends at DailyGood.com features child prodigy Adora Svitak pitching her plea for a more childish world. I think the world would be more joyous and probably less corrupt if we all embraced more child's play!
