I seem to have glazed over my newest, funnest thing- Daily Tile.
So I thought I'd best get the word out properly. It goes something like this - I'm managing to blog quite consistently, but now facebook and twitter?? What's there to say so often?
Then I thought- how about a favorite tile a day? Just that- nothing more. It could be a tile from one of those big tile companies (you know the ones), or a tile artisan (maybe not so familiar), an artist making singular art tiles (who?), or a tile stumbled upon in a book, on a blog, or on my travels.
I love it! I've missed a day here or there- but if you check it out, you'll see this daily history unfolding. I know, it's just this facebook thing that's happening, but imagine how fun it could be to convince all of you to join in the fun by submitting your own favorite tiles- yes?? Anyone???
Well, as if on cue- the other day Martin was in our public library and found this surprising little book called 500 Tiles. Juried by Angelica Pozo, it's a book filled with 500 exceptionally unique art tiles created by artists from around the globe. I've seen a kasmillion art tiles in my day, but would have to say this book was a fun surprise filled with 500 tiles I'd never seen before. Can you say -Daily Tile?
