Today marks the first day of December, and the second year of Tile Envy's holiday tradition "white december". If you recall - last year I posted a snow-white post every day of December to honor this month of celebration, and winter white-gorgeosity.
Along with that new tradition is our old tradition of commemorating each year's end with a 6-word memoir contest. It's no different this year, except for the prize. So I hope you enjoy our daily white december posts while you conjure up a 6-word tribute of your passing 2011.
To kick off our season, I have the best of news. If you're like me- the xmas music comes on as soon as the turkey's roasting- and doesn't come off until after the new year. My brother hates it. My son's don't know life any differently (poor things). And Martin does his best to be the commandeer of that ever-evolving soundtrack.
However, this year Uncle Reyka let me know that my all-time favorite- Kate Bush - had produced not one but two albums in 2011. And as if that's not enough of a lottery win- one of them is the perfect soundtrack for our entire month of White December. If you aren't the biggest fan of xmas music- Kate's latest album - 50 Words For Snow- will take you to that winter wonderland in a whole new way.
