i'm always amazed at the tiles we find in everyday life for our facebook feature "daily tile". everyone of us walks past old and new ceramic tile, porcelain tile, mosaic tile, everyday, mostly without giving them a second thought. at daily tile, that often invisible world of tile gets it's own stage.
in fact, many weeks ago daily tile reviewed a stunning 4 pc historic tile mural that was meant to fetch as much as $45 thousand!! we were all waiting to see if that would happen. this week we were floored to report that the mural managed to take $635 thousand instead. beware which tiles you merely walk past next time! (thanks for the intel nancie mills pipgras!)
this week, along with giving thanks for my favorite holiday (because there are so many more coming up shortly!!) i'm giving thanks for a world filled with inspiring and functionally beautiful pieces of tile. and thanks to daily tile for reminding us all!
today's post is all the daily tiles that feature font, of any sort. maybe tomorrow, i'll feature only green tiles- or white tiles, or tiles with smiles, or tiles in a boat, with a goat in a coat...that's the fun of daily tile!!
