The ancient city in west central Iran with it's ancient Khaju bridge, the old capital of the Persian empire. It flourished from 1050 to 1722, famous for it's Islamic architecture, beautiful covered bridges, palaces, mosques and minarets. From there the persian proverb "Isfahan is half of the world".
