Message in a Bottle

20 September 2010

As of late, I've become quite high-maintenance with reactions to perfumes something like a canary in a coal mine. What's up with that? Anyway, I spotted this story in -if it's hip it's here- and nearly got a migraine. But the transformation of classic scent- L'Air Du Temps- bottle was pretty fascinating.

I hope you have a read of their article- but in the meantime the brunt of the story is that since 1948 this bottle has had many design evolutions-

What do you think? Personally don't love the Starck bottle- a bit too sci-fi talon for me. But I've noticed that design sentiment is very "in" right now. Maybe it's a crow's talon!
