november's Elle Decor...well, where do i begin...
first there's the issue itself. titled -the luxury issue- it is drop-dead gorgeous. but let's be clear. when is Elle Decor not drop-dead gorgeous?? this particular cover is already a favorite of mine. that chair. the wallpaper. you already know you're in good design hands, yes?
but the truly wondrous part of this issue for clé is the amazing FULL PAGE introduction of tiles from our illustrious artist, ruan hoffmann, featured in ED's favored segment - tool box. (am i too old to say OMG!!)?

the riveting selection of 12 x 12 hand lithographed blue delft tiles is from ruan's much love me - series. if you aren't already a habitué of ruan's sublime work, it is powerful stuff (as you can see), challenging and thought-provoking. ruan's tiles became an immediate favorite with Elle Decor associate style editor, Mieke Ten Have (do we love her exotic name!!).
thanks to Mieke for her own creative daring in selecting ruan's gutsy work. this issue has just hit the stands and it is already causing a swirl.
