My favorite things (a few)

17 February 2010

Have you seen those features in design magazines where they ask a famous designer or style icon to list their top 10 (or 12?) items and inspirations they can't live without? I looove those. So one day, in true Gilda Radner fashion, I decided to write a post pretending that I was that fabulous designer who is asked to give her top 10 list and who, likewise, responds in a most benevolent and glorious fashion.

Then when Tile Envy was fortunate enough to be one of the 300 blogs participating in the sfgirlbybay.com blog-it-forward event, I thought -hey, I can just post this list-

1- Family-

4-Dries, Miuccia, McQueen (RIP), Galliano - and on and on - mixing theatrics with function.

10. Tile. Repetition, color (or not), 90 degrees (or not); fire and earth.

(and on, and on)

There... the first 10 inspirations that popped into my head. It was difficult for me to limit myself to 10. I think I need to do at least 10 lists of 10 inspirations.

But, I hope that you're inspired enough to check in on the rest of my blog-it-forward group for 2/18/10. And for tomorrow- please log onto my tag-partner - Tiny-Ass Apartment. I've really enjoyed reading about what ingenious small-space creations are featured on Simone's entertaining blog.
