Uncle Rich just sent a fun email sharing his own L'Air Du Temps flashbacks from many moons ago when he reigned supreme as a Duty-Free buyer. That bird bottle and the (we'll call it "memorable") Nina Ricci scent remains forever a part of his synaptic boutons.
Apparently, he used to have to fly to Paris in order to get to the bottom of all that L'Air Du Temps-ness. A trip to Paris would put even me into a perfume buying mood.
How fun was it to hear about Uncle Rich's Paris travels while I was trying to publish today's post featuring the most beautiful home in Paris!!

I'm hoping you all read this fascinating NY Times story (just click on any of the photos) because it's a great tale of a great glass house. I will add that it ends with yet another tidbit that challenges my fondness for Philip Johnson. But lo- I remain his faithful Glass House fan. I wonder if Uncle Rich ever got to escape the parfumerie in order to visit this Parisian masterpiece...
