a window seat goes exotique with detailed mosaics of white and celadon zellige. zellige is a moroccan treasure of juicy glazed terracotta. in it's most resplendent forms it is hand chiseled into intricate patterns and shapes-
at it's most functional, it is shimmering squares of clay and glaze that i've often dubbed the "sequin" of the tile world. here, a singular color radiates from tile to tile in a broad range of shades. one color can yield several dozen shades! amongst your tile romances- you should always have had at least one zellige affair. it would be one to remember...
