Last week Tile Envy had some horrendous tech difficulties courtesy of our web server. I'm sure you weren't as frustrated as I, but I'd still like to apologize for our short bleep-out. Here's the post I just couldn't get published for a coupla' days last week-
RUAN HOFFMAN
If you've been following Tile Envy- you'll know that I recently discovered the amazing artwork of Ruan Hoffman. Well- actually- in a fun way that could only happen via the internet, we actually found each other.
Ruan gave me a chance to chat with him earlier- (click for interview) and shared that he was coming to the US via NYC in June. Well now it's June and his works have just made their debut. I'm thinking of making the trip just to see his wonderful works real time. Oh, that I could afford everything he makes. Some day, when my ship comes in, I WILL own a wall full of Ruan's work. I'm counting the days!
In the meantime, we are also chatting with Ruan for plans to include his amazing works on tiles for our upcoming Cle'. I'm hoping for the best- because I think Ruan is absolutely the best. To be able to include his works as functioning pieces of surface material in your own project - that would be a dream!
