"Build by the French king Louis IX on the Ile de la Cite (the site I look out on for half the year !).
The crown of thorns (now in Notre Dame) was acquired from the Emperor of Constantinople. This chapel was build as a shrine to house then. In the middle ages the devout linked this church as a gateway to heaven.
Looking at the windows in the chapel you are left with this dazzling mix of colors and they just become red and blue (colored) abstract shapes, I imagined this as a tiled floor and a mesmerizing pattern would form." - Ruan Hoffmann
