Tile Envy - Glamor

13 April 2010

Like many of you- I really caught the glamor bug during our deconstruct of this affecting style and now everywhere I look I see spaces that could stand to use a touch of glam- bare floor needs a zebra rug, a lone desk needs an over-the-top pencil holder or garage sale statuette, and then clear on the other end of that spectrum - my master bath needs that outrageous (and outrageously expensive) Tord Boontje chandelier. Such a pity that my budget is a waif too thin- but one can always dream!

And dreaming is really so much of what glamor is all about; placing seemingly random elements together into a cohesive mix of personal icons so that in the end- it's really just your piece of glamor and no one else's. What's not to love about that?

So whilst gathering some of the dreamiest tiles you'll see all in one post - Oh boy- was I ever brimming with multitudes of tile envy. I mean- gosh- and come on already. Let's get some glamor going on in some of those tile installations out there! I'm ready for a tile revolution and this month's featured tiles are ready to incite that design riot.

So I hope you'll take a moment to take in this visual feast of tiles separated by my glamor ABC's-

Glamor never looked so good! I'm hoping everyone is getting their glamor groove on, and looking forward to seeing some installations of the super-glam type. What's that look like? Tile on walls, floors, splashes and surrounds from floor to ceiling and east to west. Let's all promise to discard the feature strip for 2010!
