tile envy, the book?

02 July 2012

it has certainly been a year of unbelievable surprises. some great, and some not so fun. but the not so fun moments have ultimately proved to be just what the doctor ordered. isn't life a mystery?

and the great moments...well, what can i say? we are beyond grateful right now.

with our much awaited launch of clé, we couldn't feel more appreciation for the current reception, media attention and orders! wow- thanks to all of you who are supporting our clé efforts. everyone on our team has been busy, busy with all of that excitement. but another great moment got totally eclipsed by all this clé-mania.

i was asked to participate in a new, fun, hip, and super-cool book on...tile. inspired by tile envy and daily tile. but the best part for me will be the name- tile envy! what could be better than that??

there's much work to do; lots of research, writing and the art of making it into a compelling book. luckily our amazing london-based publisher, cicada books, has the lead on all of this with a great deal of experience and an even greater sense of style and finesse. it's all in the best hands. so please mark on your calendar July 2013. there are no for sures with publishing dates, but that's definitely our target.

this week i thought it would be fun to look back at some of my favorite "stills" from tile envy and daily tile. i always try to keep tile envy a fusion of art, fashion, style and tile, thus the following collection represents my quirky hodge-podge of tile love-
