Along with suffering from tile envy, I'm also often afflicted with bouts of art and design envy. It's tough for me as I come from a fine arts background with creative indulgences in interior, product and graphic design. You can imagine that in this day and age with so many fabulously gifted artists and designers I'm in permanent swoon mode. Thanks for keeping me inspired.
My current interior designer raves- Kelly Wearstler (she'll go there!), Vincent Van Duysen (so clean, yet quirky), Karin Daaijer (can't get enough of the Belgians),and of course Piero Lissoni. Is any other Italian designer so masterfully modern AND prolific as Mr. Lissoni?

For today since we're still in Shabby Chic month, I remembered a great video clip I found. It was around the time that we had just lost Metropolitan Home and in their final days they had hosted a series of spaces inspired by various Showtime series. Kinda fun idea. The one dining room and patio designed by Piero Lissoni and Nicoletta Canessi was inspired by the incredible series- The Tudors. Talk about amazing sets...well that's another post.
The video was nowhere to be found, but I did find a few photos 0f Piero and Nicoletta's inspiration and realized how it's perfect for a feature on Tudor Chic. Why not??
Pierro and Nicoletta decided to use light instead of darks for their translation of the Tudor inspiration.
